Bidara Bridge Prone to Collapse

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department checked the Bidara Bridge on Jalan Arteri Marunda, Cilincing, North Jakarta, Tuesday (9/29). 

In addition, one of the cantilever poles is also porous. It could make the bridge collapsed

Head of North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department, Warsito stated, based on the checking result, the iron poles have been sloping. 

" In addition, one of the cantilever poles is also porous. It could make the bridge collapsed ," he stated.

According to him, the bridge has been old and often passed by heavy vehicles thus it could not hold weight. 

However, he continued, the authority of development and maintenance of the bridge are on Public Works Ministry. His party will send a letter to the ministry so that it could be repaired. 

"If it is not repaired I’m afraid it would be collapsed thus the access road from Marunda to Bekasi could be disconnected," he expressed.
